OVERVIEW

This is a virtual Training Within Industry -10 hr Job Instruction (JI) class. Sessions are two hours per day for five days.

Introduced in World War II to boost productivity, the training within industry (TWI) job instruction (JI) programs have been helping companies worldwide get better by developing critical skills for front line leadership. The TWI job instruction program helps develop training skills in a way that helps the learner to quickly remember how to do a job correctly, safely and conscientiously. Companies typically benefit from:

  • Shorter training time
  • Standard process for training employees
  • Less scrap
  • Higher quality
  • Less machine downtime and tool damage

This 10-hour course has been adapted for virtual delivery but still includes the same content and format (five days of two-hour sessions) as the original course, including practice training demonstrations. Completing this course meets the prerequisite for attending the TWI Insitute’s 40-hour “TWI JI Trainer Development” course, which allows a company to deliver the TWI JI 10-hour course with internal resources.
