One of our board members, Billy Ray Taylor, recently shared his thoughts on the fear of missing out (FOMO). We were specifically talking about the AME conference, how valuable it is and why everyone should attend.
FOMO is a feeling we all encounter from time to time, especially in today’s fast-paced, always-connected world. We are concerned about missing opportunities, experiences or events that others seem to be enjoying. We cannot be everywhere, so this week, I want to share some experiences you don’t want to miss.
On Wednesday, September 11, you are invited to attend a special FREE AME-hosted event to hear from Rami Goldratt, the son of Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, author of “The Goal.” This book is the go-to source for the theory of constraints. Rami Goldratt will share best practices on flow solutions and the path to operational excellence. You will gain practical solutions for significantly enhancing productivity, streamlining delivery times, minimizing inventory and boosting service levels across your manufacturing, supply chain and project operations. This half-day session will be held from 8:00 –11:45 a.m. at the Embassy Suites Independence in Independence, Ohio. If you would like to attend as a guest of AME, please send your RSVP to sohara@ame.org by September 8.
If you can’t be in Ohio, we have another opportunity to hear from Rami Goldratt on Friday, September 13, to attend a free session with Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) in collaboration with AME from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EDT in Auburn, Massachusetts. If you would like to attend, please register no later than Tuesday, September 10 via this link: Theory of Constraints Flow Solutions: Your Path to Operational Excellence, MassMEP.
No more FOMO! Finally, you do not want to miss the most spectacular lean and continuous improvement conference in October: the AME Atlanta 2024 International Conference, where we will CONNECT. EVOLVE. TRANSFORM. There will be 30-plus sessions focused on developing an evolving workforce, CI tools and culture: connecting the dots, nurturing thriving learning organizations, coaching the practice of problem-solving together, and striking a balance: integrating people and AI. You will also have an opportunity to tour industry best practice sites and hear from inspiring keynote speakers. Register here.
Thank you for being a valued member of our community. As always, please stay safe and keep looking out for one another.
