Join AME and host Paul Akers for the next highly rated 2 Second Lean tour series!

The 2SL approach is like Mentoring on Steroids for companies who are interested in developing their people.

The company President and his operations team will highlight lean concepts, featured best practices/concepts, and significant improvements. They will describe the morning meeting and 3S process, and how they have achieved great results in a relatively short amount of time.  Overall, the tour will focus on how they developed a culture that supports all of their continuous improvement activity.

On the tour visitors will see:

  • overview of main shop
  • morning meeting area
  • lean cave
  • metal shop
  • spray booth
  • carpentry shop
  • sawmill line

This event is part of  AME's 2 Second Lean Tour series hosted by Paul Akers, author of the book "2 Second Lean" and owner of FastCap.

HOST COMPANY

Valley View Industries Ltd manufactures quality cedar products that are both attractive and built to last. They work with 100% western red cedar and manufacture cedar lumber Including rough sawn posts and beams, kiln dried tongue and groove in any profile and quantity. They also manufacture cedar products including fence panels, gazebos, pergolas and offer installation on all products. The two acre site includes a 6,000 sq. ft. wood processing shop and 3,000 sq. ft. of covered manufacturing area. They currently have 18 full-time employees. www.valleyviewlumber.com
