DESCRIPTION

In our last webinar we discussed Leader Standard Work (LSW) which we characterized as “strategic planning on steroids.” Well, it's time to discuss the other half of that equation. That is; what is the best way to organize, create, and execute your strategic plan, now that we know the power of LSW? In this webinar we will introduce you to Hoshin Kanri Policy Deployment (HKPD)which is the Japanese standard for strategic planning. We will go through the history of its development which will reveal the three strategic weakness in most Western planning models, which are based on Drucker’s Management By Objective (MBO). And you will learn why today it is the Japanese standard for strategic planning The key to HKPD is not what most people think which is the in-depth technical details and extensive use of matrices including the famous X-Matrix. Rather we will clearly explain “the secret sauce” the Japanese have applied to strategic planning to make it a far more effective model than MBO. You may be surprised to find the many overlaps and intersections of HKPD with Workforce Engagement which, of course, we will highlight so you can connect these three powerful strategies.
