OVERVIEW

Join us for a practical and engaging Green Belt Lean Certification workshop designed for individuals and teams looking to expand their knowledge and application of Lean methodology. This is a one-week in-person event designed to teach and apply Lean tools giving leaders the ability to implement projects to eliminate waste and problem solve.

This workshop will focus on the following:

  • Understand the language of Lean that anyone can understand – (Both in Operations and Office environments) 
  • Learn critical thinking elements that all leaders should know to successfully lead people and manage processes 
  • Create system thinking and understanding of how cost is related to decisions 
  • Learn tools that you can immediately implement at your company to engage your workforce and instantly uncover waste
  • Break down cross functional barriers for effective collaboration Green belt project will be assigned to be completed using lean tools and reported out within 90 days after the class.

PRESENTER

Mark Preston is a trailblazer in the world of Lean, whose expertise has reshaped operations from some of the most recognized global organizations. Beginning his lean journey at TDK Electronics, Mark was trained in Japan on the foundational principles of Lean. His hands-on experiences spans leadership roles at Respironics / Phillips and Acuity Brands, where he spearheaded multi-site Lean deployments and fostered operational excellence across international teams. He brings winning best practices from deployment in Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain, Office Operations, and Sales.

Day 3  – (half day of training – half day of applying)

  • Problem Solving – A3, FMEA
  • Project Management – DMAIC Overview
    Apply: Teams to do an A3 on real problems at the site

Day 4 – (half day of training - Half day of applying

  • Visual Management, Metrics that Matter
  • Value Stream Mapping
    Apply: Teams to Create a Value Stream Map

Day 5 – (half day of training - Half day of applying)

  • SIPOC, Process Mapping
  • Lean Office Playbook
    Apply: Teams to Create a Process Map

Green Belt Testing on Day 5

To receive green belt certification a green belt project will be assigned to be completed using lean tools and reported out within 90 days after the class.
