IVECO is part of CNH Industrial (CNHi) designs and manufactures a wide range of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles for road and off-road use. Its Suzzara, Italy facility is comprised of three sections including welding, painting and assembly that includes a total 1,825,000 square feet and 2,106 employees. The AME assessment team found IVECO’s facility to be clean and well organized with leadership culture that respects people and recognizes team members’ contributions to the organization. In addition, the assessors were impressed by IVECO’s training method that rates the ability of an employee’s dexterity using game simulation on touch screens. This tool has helped employees become more efficient and accurate in their work. The assessors found World Class Manufacturing (WCM) consistency across each of the three sections of the plant even though each had its own unique culture.
