Join AME and host Paul Akers for the next highly rated 2 Second Lean tour series!
The 2SL approach is like Mentoring on Steroids for companies who are interested in developing their people.
On the D3 Custom Cabinet tour you will see the following:
- Leveraging technology to increase the effectiveness of 1 piece flow in a traditionally “batch process” manufacturing setting.
- Implementation of standard work and training in a custom environment where everything is made to order and unique.
- Consistency with our morning meetings, while the agenda changes frequently, we always have them and constantly rotate leadership of the meeting.
- Leadership communication by discussing our goals with the team and update daily.
- Financial transparency quarterly review of high-level financials with whole team, and optional breakout sessions if specific team members have questions.
This event is part of AME's 2 Second Lean Tour series hosted by Paul Akers, author of the book "2 Second Lean" and owner of FastCap.
D3 Custom Cabinets Second generation family business that has been producing high quality cabinetry and millwork since 1978. Over the years our focus has shifted from commercial millwork to residential work to wholesale supply only. At present we sell exclusively through our online ordering portal where dealers and contractors can order completely custom cabinetry and millwork to their exact specifications. We started our lean journey in the fall of 2021, with a focus on creation of single piece flow, 3S and 2SL, and we have seen fantastic results so far. https://www.d3customcabinets.com/
Sam Jackson joined the family business in 2010 after completing University. After a few false starts and some time working in New Zealand, I rebranded as D3 Custom Cabinets in 2018. My passion has always been system creation and bringing order to chaos. After reading 2 Second Lean in 2020, I knew it was the best tool I had come across for taking the business and my team to new heights. With a lean mindset as well as generous help, support and inspiration from the lean community, we have achieved much in the last few years. While there were a few false starts and bumps along the road, I'm proud to say we have an amazing team who are dedicated to success and growth. It has been an amazing journey so far!
