Human-centered AI in practice

Build coaching bots that empower learning and performance

Topic(s)

Overview

For most learning professionals, the idea of building an AI-powered coaching bot sounds like something only a developer could do. It feels technical, complex, maybe even out of reach. But what if it wasn’t?

In this engaging, hands-on workshop, Emiliano Jimenez Cornejo—organizational development practitioner and co-founder of Soligo—will walk you through the exact steps to design and build a human-centered AI coaching bot that supports learners where and when they need it most.

Imagine if every employee had access to an AI assistant that could answer questions, reinforce training, and offer tailored guidance in the flow of work. What would that do for your training ROI? For your team’s confidence? For your ability to scale coaching and support without hiring more staff?

This workshop is designed for L&D leaders, facilitators, and training professionals who want to move beyond one-and-done sessions and build learning experiences that last. You’ll be guided through real-world examples, key design principles, and a no-code building tool so you can leave with your own working prototype—ready to deploy, test, or share with your team.

No technical experience required. Just bring a training need you care about, and a desire to empower people to succeed long after the session ends.

Key learning objectives
  • Demystify the process of building AI coaching bots—learn how non-technical professionals can design effective, human-centered tools using no-code platforms
  • Build and test your own AI bot prototype tailored to a real training challenge, ready for immediate use or iteration inside your organization
  • Discover practical ways to use AI to reinforce learning, boost knowledge retention, and increase the real-world impact of your training programs

Interactive components

This workshop is designed to be highly interactive, with approximately 75–80% of the session devoted to hands-on activities, peer engagement, and guided building. The first interactive exercise begins within the first 20 minutes, where participants will identify a real-world training challenge they’d like to address through AI support.

From there, attendees will use their own smartphones or laptops to follow along as I guide them through building their first AI coaching bot—step by step—using a no-code platform. They’ll test, refine, and engage with their bots live during the session.

In addition to individual work, participants will engage in structured peer-sharing moments throughout the workshop to spark reflection, build momentum, and exchange ideas. These include short partner brainstorms, group feedback loops, and optional demo opportunities to showcase what they've created.

This interactive approach ensures that participants not only understand the concept, but also experience the confidence of doing it themselves—and leave the room with something real they can build on immediately.
