Overview

To process and analyze 3,000+ samples per day, the company deployed several lean initiatives, including the utilization of visual management tools, kanban systems, continuous improvement, elimination of muda (waste) and mura (unevenness) and kaizen events. During the tour, you will follow a sample as it travels through the lab. This includes package opening and sorting, sample intake and preparation, through test stations, and finally report generation for customers. You will see how straight-line production is achieved through our lean practices in a non-manufacturing environment.

Company

Eurofins TestOil, Inc. has been in the oil analysis business since 1988. It began by providing analytical ferrography services to power customers and, in the early 90s, expanded its services.
