From the CEO: Happy National Positive Thinking Day!

AME | September 13, 2024

September 13 is National Positive Thinking Day. What a fun day to celebrate all the good and positive things that are happening around us. There are so many ways to stay positive and promote the power of positivity. Studies say that when we approach situations expecting a good outcome, practice gratitude and use healthy self-talk, we look at life more optimistically. And we know a positive attitude is contagious.

Another way to stay positive is to try new experiences and continuously learn. This helps us grow, stay motivated and stay connecte

Last month, AME sponsored a positive learning event in New England. Kurt Johnson, Entegris continuous improvement and operations manager, hosted AME’s Learning to See training, delivered by Paul Waterman and based on the AME Lean Sensei®. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive!

Attendees learned how to assess their organizations, ask open-ended questions to get actionable feedback, and “learned to see” what works well and where they might have some opportunities for improvement. Attendee Manoj Mohta, Avalign Technologies continuous improvement director, shared that the training was “absolutely fabulous.”

AME is the place to go to share, learn and grow, and we practice positive thinking as we continuously look for ways to improve. We do this in a people-centered leadership (PCL) way. PCL builds an environment where people can realize their gifts, develop and apply their talents, and feel a genuine sense of fulfillment of their contributions in pursuit of a common purpose. PCL creates a workplace where everyone feels valued and motivated to do their best. It not only makes our work more enjoyable – it also drives us toward greater success. PCL nurtures this culture of positivity.

Happy National Positive Thinking Day! And thank you for the positive energy you bring to AME every day. I look forward to seeing you all at the AME Atlanta 2024 International Conference in October. If you haven’t signed up yet, it is not too late!

As always, please stay safe and keep looking out for one another.
