The upcoming July 4th holiday in America has me thinking again about those who protect us and our freedoms. As I’ve stated before, military veterans are a pillar of the AME community. You play an important role in the organizations that we serve, and your military training complements the lean, continuous improvement training that AME provides.
To that end, I am proud to announce that AME will offer all veterans and active military members (regardless of the military branch or the country you serve), a free one-year individual AME membership.
We know that this past year has been difficult for nearly everyone. That’s why we lowered the price of our 2020 AME International Conference and have kept it low for the 2021 conference. It is also why we felt so strongly about making the 2021 conference as virtual again so that anyone could attend regardless of where they live or their organization’s particular recovery and situation.
But we wanted to go the extra step of free membership for active duty and military veterans. If you fall into one of those categories or if you have a colleague or peer who might be interested, I encourage you to share the code FREEDOM21, which may be used during member registration for a free year of membership. Again, this offer is open to military members or veterans in the U.S., Canada, Australia, or any country served by AME and our affiliates.
Beyond this special membership offering, we’ve been working behind the scenes to make sure that we’re serving our members and community as you continue to rebound. Our free 2 Second Lean Tour Series with Paul Akers and tiered pricing for Consortia tours (like next week’s Woodard tour) are just two examples of how AME is working hard to serve our community.
