As we face unprecedented challenges this year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the unwavering spirit that defines our AME community. We're an international community built on a foundation of continuous improvement, innovation and a commitment to excellence. Time and again, we've shown that by working together and embracing change, we can overcome any obstacle.
As one of our founders, Doc Hall, shared with me repeatedly over the years, we must stay agile and adaptable. Times like these present opportunities for change and growth. By embracing technology, fostering collaboration, and championing sustainability, we can improve. Every challenge we face is a chance to innovate.
AME is a valuable resource for navigating volatile times. We have:
- Collaborative networks: We foster practitioner-to-practitioner learning through the AME Consortia, regional communities where members share knowledge and best practices.
- Continuous improvement tools: We provide tools like the AME Lean Sensei® to help organizations assess and improve processes.
- Educational events: Workshops, like the Yellow belt lean certification and the Theory of Constraints flow solutions; Webinars, including Value stream management: Integrate lean accounting with lean practices and Developing leadership skills to engage employees for high functioning teams; Summits, including the popular upcoming AME Hampton Roads 2025 Lean Summit in May and the June AME Portland 2025 Lean Summit; Conferences, like the renowned AME St. Louis 2025 International Conference in October focused on AI and beyond.)
- Leadership development: We are the go-to source for human and people-centric leadership, offering resources to help leaders grow and support their teams.
- Innovation and sustainability: We share and embrace innovative technologies and sustainable practices to remain competitive.
AME is your share, learn and grow resource. We share by “collaborating without boundaries,” learn by “mastering today, innovating tomorrow,” and grow by “strengthening the workforce and shaping industry.” Our members are collaborative and stronger together.
Thank you for your hard work, dedication and belief in the future. As always, please stay safe and keep looking out for one another.
