Overview

Canon has a long-standing history of innovation, research and development. In 2024, Canon was once again ranked, for 41 consecutive years, in the top five in the U.S. for the number of patents granted.  Leveraging their core competencies, highly efficient and advanced manufacturing processes, extensive technical and engineering knowledge, and their environmental commitment to recycling and refurbishing, Canon Virginia, Inc. (CVI) has earned their name as a corporate leader in advanced manufacturing technology, environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility.

The tour will offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into CVI, including an exploration of their Innovation Center and laboratories, where research and development, prototyping, and the application of advanced technologies and smart manufacturing take place. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to view Canon's Service and Support Center for cameras and office equipment.

Participants will also learn about CVI’s corporate philosophy and spirit, Kyosei which translates to “All people, regardless of culture, customs, language or race, harmoniously living and working together for the common good”.  Kyosei is reflected in every decision the company makes and Canon aims to achieve corporate growth and development while contributing to the prosperity of the world and the happiness of humankind through this corporate philosophy.

Located in Newport News, Virginia, Canon Virginia, Inc. serves as Canon’s only manufacturing, engineering, recycling and technical support center in the Americas region. CVI produces new products using advanced manufacturing methodologies while also serving as a factory service center providing expert customer service in the repair and refurbishment of Canon products.
