Overview
Did you know that 61% of workers believe it’s their employer’s responsibility to help them learn new skills? Businesses realize that skill development is in their best interest. The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report shows that skills gaps in the local labor market are the #1 barrier to business transformation. At HME, its leaders recognized that its desired future state could not occur without awareness of the skills it would need in its ideal future workforce or a clear understanding of the current state of skills present in its workers. Building on an established skill-based assessment program underway in the manufacturing area, HME recognized that targeted skill development needed to be expanded to the rest of the company to achieve our strategic initiatives.
