Overview

LeanSetGo is a fun and interactive way to learn how aligned and empowered teams can help a struggling company perform optimally. Each participant is assigned critical roles in a simulated beverage processing plant. The team has three rounds to demonstrate they can meet customer demands. Otherwise, the plant must close its doors forever. Before each round, participants will learn vital tools and methods to shift their company from surviving to thriving. After each round, team members reflect on their performance and apply their knowledge to continue iterating toward the company’s shared vision and goals.

Key learning objectives

  1. Learn how to apply common Lean tools and principles to meet customer demand.
  2. Learn how to use Toyota Kata and coaching techniques to improve team performance.
  3. Understand OEE and how it supports TPM and Lean.
  4. Learn how visual management dashboards help grow aligned teams who win together.

Interactive components

LeanSetGo utilizes the Learn-Do methodology to introduce essential Lean tools and principles before each high-energy, interactive round. Then, during each round, participants are assigned roles in a simulated manufacturing facility. When each round begins, they interact with each other, the equipment, the nine processing stations and nine support roles. Additionally, mini-games are built into the simulation to ensure maximum interaction and fun. Between each round, participants collaborate and use the innovation center to iterate incrementally toward meeting their customers’ demands.

The following roles are assigned to participants who receive clear roles and responsibilities before starting the simulation.
