Overview

In a January 2024 survey of C-suite executives, over 50% of leaders expect leadership to be more challenging this year. A polarizing election year, technological advances and global conflict impacting economics and industries are creating anxiety, uncertainty and fear for employees. Knowing how to navigate change quickly and identifying how to support employees, personally and professionally, are key variables for success in fostering a productive and inspired workforce. To do so, leaders must learn cognitive behavioral strategies to manage their own reactions to best meet the needs of their employees and their evolving organizations.

Key learning objectives

  1. Identify cognitive and emotional obstacles that impede strategic thinking and success
  2. Integrate specific strategies to manage challenges and optimize performance (self and others)
  3. Understand how uncertainty and change can impact individual and organizational productivity, efficiency and satisfaction
  4. Learn how to use uncertainty to create success

Interactive components

The presentation utilizes interactive technology (Mentimeter) to engage an audience and build an empathetic relationship among audience members. Individual reflection time and paired and small group activities are also integrated into the workshop.
