Presenters
Jeff Fuchs is president of Neovista Consulting, focusing on operational excellence, lean thinking, leadership, change management and culture. For eleven years, Fuchs directed a nonprofit lean consortium, guiding organizations toward cultures of continuous improvement. Fuchs has thirty years of experience with lean. His work has spanned the automotive, machining, aerospace/defense, pharmaceuticals, biotech, government, solar power, and oil & gas industries.
Fuchs has been involved in the AME/Shingo Institute/SME Lean Certification Alliance since its inception. He currently holds Lean Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certifications. He serves on the Lean Certification Oversight Committee and is past chair. He holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from West Point and is a Gulf War combat veteran. He is an examiner for the Shingo Institute’s Shingo Prize, an assessor and council member for AME’s Excellence Award and serves on AME’s Mid-Atlantic Region Board. 
Joel Hugghins is an accomplished professional engineer whose career has focused largely on operational excellence and transformation in the roles of consultant, sensei, instructor, coach and practitioner. Hugghins is recognized throughout the lean community through his print and online articles, consultations and conference sessions.
He has applied his engineering and continuous improvement expertise across a diverse range of industries for nearly 30 years. He is a strategic thinker, applying proven techniques designed to prevent rather than correct systemic problems whenever possible. Hugghins holds a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and is a certified lean sensei, licensed professional engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, agile scrum master, and project management professional. He has been coaching and instructing various CI methodologies for more than 20 years and is an avid fan and advocate of AME.
