About Michael Muilenburg
Michael Muilenburg is the Operational Technology and strategic planning manager for 3M’s Film and Material Science, Technology, and Engineering Group. During his 34+ year career at 3M, he has worked in manufacturing operations, process development, product development, Lean Six Sigma and supply chain. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a master's degree in manufacturing engineering from Northwestern University. Outside of his operational excellence career, Muilenburg is sole proprietor of Sheridan Avenue Music, a recording studio and music lessons business. He is an avid musician who plays guitar, bass, mandolin, bouzouki and other instruments.
