Jim Joyner is vice president of global operational excellence for Astec Industries, Inc. He began his professional career with the 3M Company in quality, manufacturing, sales and marketing. He then joined Philip Crosby Associates as a senior vice president and helped to grow the company into the world’s largest consulting firm specializing in quality. For the past 20 years, he has been in corporate OpEx positions with Federal Signal and Card-Monroe Corp. He has authored several books including "Quality Still Works." Joyner has a BS degree in finance from UT Chattanooga and an MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.
