Glove manufacturing – legacy and new automation

Tour of Honeywell

This tour will showcase four different elements of operations at the Clover manufacturing site highlighting both old and new technology along with how Honeywell is leveraging digital tools at Clover and across Honeywell globally.

The four focal points of the tour are:

  • Walking the legacy glove manufacturing process that uses 1960’s technology and is still in operation making high quality, specialty hand protection.
  • Viewing the newly installed, automated production line and interacting with the advance manufacturing engineering team about lessons learned through the procurement, installation, and commissioning process.
  • Seeing the vertical material storage system in action.
  • Seeing the custom digital tier board application that’s being developed to support daily management activities on the site from the line level to the site level and extending above the site operations.

Personal identification is required to participate on this tour. No elevator access. Tour participants must be able to walk up stairs.

Honeywell Clover, SC manufacturing site is a global leader of specialty hand protection.  The site produces solvent dipped gloves to meet demand for pharmaceutical, electrical, research, and nuclear markets globally.
