Overview

This session will share how to sponsor, design, and implement a structured A3 problem solving development program to deliver business results as well as improve team member engagement and cross-functional integration.

The key points covered will be:

  • the important role the sponsor takes in gaining participation from all levels of the organisation
  • the continuous improvement of a structured and engaging program to deliver outcomes
  • the firsthand experience of measurable outcomes for the organisation and the participants

David Ellis

David Ellis joined Hanes Australasia in 1995 as manufacturing manager of Jockey. Since then Ellis has held various roles within the company before being appointed chief supply chain officer in 2017 and then CSCO across HAA / HEI in late 2019. He oversees customer service, demand and supply chain management, sourcing, logistics and continuous improvement. Ellis has a passion for lean and has been the driving force in implementing a lean culture across the group.

 

Erin Fernandes

Erin Fernandes is the continuous improvement manager for Hanes Australasia. She has worked at Hanes for the last 15 years, with the first 11 years in sales. Fernandes has a strong passion for making lives easier at Hanes by coaching staff about the importance of continuous improvement through the use of the lean tools. Fernandes has a critical role in leading Hanes CI capability development and can share her own experiences in learning and teaching lean practices.

 

Michael Kazoglou

Michael Kazoglou is head of continuous improvement for Hanes Australasia. He has been involved in Hanes Australasia’s continuous improvement / lean journey since 2014 as a consultant and now internally. Kazoglou is an internationally experienced business improvement and cultural transformation manager, with a track record of lean deployments in a variety of environments. Kazoglou was trained and gained exposure in true world-class operations directly from the founding members of the Toyota Way in Japan and Australia.
