Overview

Hologic San Diego has a long history and a strong culture of continuous improvement. In this session, participants will be introduced to Hologic’s use of Innovation Boards to drive employee ownership and empowerment in identifying and solving problems at the ground level. Despite the success of its MyCI program in capturing implemented ideas, Hologic saw an opportunity to improve how ideas are generated, discussed and developed into durable solutions that address the root cause. This presentation will show how the Innovation Boards have helped the company address these opportunities, enabling its employees to not just raise issues but to be active participants in the solution-building journey.

Through this session, participants will become familiarized with the Innovation Board templates and process, starting with developing an effective problem statement. The focus will be on providing actionable insights and practical examples of how its teams use this system to move from raising issues and identifying potential solutions to successful implementation. The session will also cover the important role of post-implementation reviews to confirm problem resolution and reinforce the culture of continuous improvement.
