The AME Cleveland Consortium is looking for various member and non-member companies to participate in a facilitated Digital Transformation Special Interest Peer Group that seeks to understand how digital technology is interfacing with lean in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments.
The group will:
- Assess the gap between technology and lean
- Benchmark best practices
- Learn how companies use web collaboration tools to run lean events
- Clarify how digital transformation is visualizing the gemba and key metrics
The group will also explore where the Internet of Things (IoT) is headed and how it may affect your lean efforts.
One-hour virtual sessions will be held every other week for a total of six sessions; however, the group may wish to extend. Group members are encouraged to participate even if there are no digital efforts currently underway. Members undergoing digital transformation may demonstrate how they are blazing the trail and share what is going right and what challenges they have encountered.
Key to any special interest group (SIG) is collaboration between group members. This group is slated to meet every other Thursday starting January 13 through March 24 from 12-1 p.m. EST using Microsoft Teams.
